This Storyline asset, was built as part of an online course I created for YMCA. The course is called ‘Thrive’ and is used to train their staff in their approach to education in their YMCA Vocational schools.

This piece is based on a TED talk about ‘Adverse Childhood Experiences’, given by Nadine Burke Harris. The piece was designed to enhance the learners ability to absorb key information so as to grow their understanding of ‘trauma-informed’ practice with young people. The TED talk, was excellent; a great learning piece in and of itself, but it included a lot of data and statistics, that for many learners who struggle to absorb auditory learning, would have been lost.

The purpose of this piece was to provide a visual aids and enable the learner to explore and absorb the key information at their own pace.
